Exacting Standards for Your Exacting Roller Screw Requirements
Our engineers demand accuracy and precise tolerance with every component of each CMC product. Designing the patented CMC Performance Roller Screw (PRS) to meet peak performance is one thing but building a PRS to our engineers’ exacting standards is another thing.
To ensure precision in each of the high tolerance components in a PRS, CMC uses a Brown & Sharpe Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
The CMM is used to inspect each part or assembly against the corresponding engineering design by precisely recording the X, Y, and Z coordinates of the target features, as directed by the Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer uses the X, Y, and Z coordinates to determine size and position of features that are then compared to the engineering design to ensure that each assembly that CMC delivers is manufactured and delivered both according to print and according to our customers’ expectations.
Using a Coordinate Measuring Machine ensures that each component of a PRS is within the demanding specifications that CMC requires. The CMM enables us to measure and control our quality in order to deliver to you the high performance roller screw you are expecting.
