Because we often work with our customers to create custom designs specifically for their applications, CMC essentially makes any size roller screw assemblies, from as small as 5mm to as large at 250mm. We do have a large number of ‘standard’ sizes for which we have created a chart of dimensions, efficiencies, and load capacities for these different sizes.

Active Continuous Positioning

The Technical Advantage

Active Continuous Positioning (ACP™) is patented performance technology embedded in every Performance Roller Screw (PRS) delivered by Creative Motion Control. ACP precisely positions and synchronizes the rolling elements in the PRS throughout the revolving cycle. In contrast, competitive recirculating systems require that the rollers completely disengage from any active contact; thus limiting the rotational speed of the system and leaving internal roller position to chance. This risk is completely eliminated with ACP.

CMC’s ACP technology incorporates several key advantages. First, consistent with traditional planetary designs, rollers are continuously positioned and actively synchronized. However, with ACP, the requirement for synchronization gearing is eliminated. As a result, overall system efficiencies are higher than those of traditional planetary systems requiring synchronization gearing. Second, rotational speed is not limited in the HRS design as in other recirculating products. Finally, extreme force density is delivered in a very compact envelope. As a result, ACP technology not only enables but actually facilitates innovation.
