Creative Motion Control (CMC) is pleased to announce they will be exhibiting their revolutionary line of Roller Screw Actuators at the upcoming IMTS 2018 being held in Chicago’s McCormick Place from September 15-20. They will be located in booth 134041.
On display will be their complete line of roller screw actuators designed for high speed, high force linear motion control. Along with CMC’s traditional CPD series lineup of 5 increasingly capable sizes — offering continuous dynamic force capacity from 6000 lbf (28 kN) to 95,000 lbf (423 kN) — they will be introducing two new sizes, one smaller and one larger, to extend the range of solutions they offer.
The new smaller CPD-200 will be specifically designed to handle high speeds and long life in a very small package aimed at the robotic end-effect market, while the larger CPD-900 will offer dynamic load capacity up to 200,000 lbf (890 kN), which will exceed the capacity available from existing electromechanical actuators in the market by 100%.
The key benefit advantage of the CMC design is a proprietary thrust bearing that matches the roller screw capacity in the same small envelope, enabling up to double the continuous dynamic force of similar sized competitive models. The units are also lubricated for life, offering two significant cost advantages for both procurement and maintenance.
All models are offered with multiple mounting options and input adapters to accommodate virtually all servo motors.
